Hello friends,
Welcome.
Time flew by so fast that I never realise that spring is here and so is my son's summer vacation. This time I want him to make a journal for all the places he visits and the experience he has so that as he grows up he will have a memory of all his travels. To this effect I decided to make his little travel diary and that also happens to be the theme of this month's mixed media challenge over at Happy Little Stampers. so here it is ....
I started of with a heavy watercolour card stock that had been gessoed and coloured and coloured and stamped upon. I used this background for the first layer and then i used some more stamp with Archival jet black ink. added some black soot distress ink around the edges.
Next I decoupaged a tissue paper on top. Next was some more stamps and colouring and fuzzy cutting to get the element for the focal point and finally some handmade flowers. to add a little shine I used wink-of stella clear glitter brush pen. Doodle some stitch lines and wrote some words to finish.
I hope this project inspires you and you will join us on the challenge. Looking forward to all the entries.
Hugs
