Hello All,
Its that time of the year when the everything lights up and looks like the stars have fallen from the sky to make our world more beautiful. Its the time when we all dress up and enjoy the festivities and even though some of us may not be having the best of time we still make the effort to make the best of it, so this canvas is all about always making the effort...
I could not take pictures as it was pretty slow coming around for i changed my mind so many times about what i wanted, I will just walk you though what I did. the supplies list is at the end along with places you may find them.
I started off with painting the canvas in magents and added black on the edges, then tearing 2 pattern paper at an angle and adhered it to the canvas board. Added some more colour to the edges where the papers overlapped. used some textur paste to stencil some scrip , bubbles and diamonds.
Added some more colour. Added chipboard cut outs and. used 3d outliners on the chip boards and also some metallic powder. I stamped the the crackle effect onto the canvas using black archival ink. Used my white gel pen colour in some parts.
I also used some rub-ons in some places. For the dress I used card stock. Drew a bodice and cut it out, next used a rectangular pieces to create the pleats for the skirt. Added a piece of lace that was inked with diluted magenta to match with the background. the lace was repeated for the waist band and bordered with a string of pearls. The dress was then hung onto the hanger using silicon glue and same was used to adhere the hanger to the canvas. Further the waist -band was decorated using stamped, coloured and cut out flowers and a small satin ribbon bow.
Added a butterfly to the branch and embellished the left corner with handmade flowers and more and leaves. Added the quote that is partiallyhad written partially stamped. the stamped porting has been popped using foam tape. Also added some glue to the canvas and sprinkled on some diamond dust.
This piece really awesome in real hope i have justice in the photos. here are some close up.
