Simple layered card: "Dream"

Todays I am here with a very simple card but i enjoyed making, as it was amazing to see that with very subtle and simple changes can make so much difference in the impact of a project. I used the same technique in the construction of the card but they look pretty different.On the last one I twisted things around and went to colour the borders instead of the base. I will try to walk you all through the process and hope you enjoy it.

Ok so to start with i foloowed a very common technique where i took three pieces measuring 4x51/4 inches, 4and quarter x 3 and finally 3and quarter x 2.

Adhered all the pieces on top of each other and used distress inks to add colour to the card once the colours were blended, i chose a stamp set and stamped on with black archival ink.

I then sprayed one of the cards with pearlised water to give a sheen.

To assemble the cards I chose a black card base and 2 layering CS in black. The other one I chose the the layering CS in blue colour .

For the sentiment I cut out a fish tail banner and stamped and white heat embossed "thinking of you" and adhered to the card to finish it off. For the second card I die cut "Dream" in pink CS and added ink of stella shimmer pen and then glossy accents then adhered to the front of the card.


Now for the third card, I die cut the frames using, stitched rounded rectangle die from Peek-a-boo designs, then coloured each frame in the rainbow order, backed each frame wth a piece of white layering CS. (I could have cut five different rectangled pieces in the first step to avoid this step)

Stacked them all on top of each other and stamped with color box chestnut brown ink. I also sprayed it with pearlised water to add texture and sheen. Then added foam tape between each of the layers

Die cut the word "dream" in dark brown CS 6 times and layered them together, on the top i used Wink of stella shimmer pen and glossy accents, let dry and adhere to the front of the card.
