Quilling Gift box: IQCG # 28

Hope you are all having a wonderful week!! July is almost over and the season of festivals is just round the corner!!!

I am here with a small gift box that is made for someone very special to me and has been made keeping her favorite colour in mind, PINK yes a very beautiful colour but i have always found it difficult to work it, wonder why!!??

This box is a part of my package to my brother and sis-in-law on Rakhi. After this i am all inspired to make some Rakhis and lumba too.....do you think that would be good idea??ummm lets see....

Well back to the gift box, I started with a heaxagonal cardboard box and added a texture paste to it through a stencil. Coloured the box pink.

then it was time to add some gold, i used gold acrylic powder with little medium over all the areas of the texture and corners , I also added a bit of white for a old and distressed look. I needed i to look like something that is very old and rustic.

Later i added some pink and yellow flowers and green leaves to the top of the box and added some touches of gold to all the pieces.

I also used some punched flowers to fill in the gaps and finally added a golden butterfly.
