Angel Ornament

Hello Friends,

Though it feels like yesterday it has been a month and we are now in the month of February and its time for the next Christmas challenge and like last month I have here another ornament to share with you. I decided to make fairies for this month in continuation of the ornament series, I am hoping that I will have enough decorative ornaments for my tree by the time Christmas comes around.

There are many ways to make fairies but I have been wanting to use this particular stamp from my stash for very long and this seemed like a good opportunity to use this so I started by stamping the wings on vellum paper using Versamark ink and the Misti Stamping tool, then I embossed the image using gold embossing powder. Finally I fussy cut the images to make wings.

Next for the body of the angel/ fairy, I used some printed cardstock and some glitter-coated corrugated sheet. Cutting out 3 semi-circles and forming a cone, I used a hot glue gun to stick it to the thermocole bud for the head. I made crowns for the angles with some star stickers added a final touch with googly eyes. To finish the project I attached the gold embossed wings to the bodies.

They form a cute ornament for the mantle or tree where ever you would like them. Hope you enjoyed this project that took me minutes to make and fun to do with kids too...
