Hello Friends,
I hope this post will find you all happy, healthy and inspired. This is only my second post this year and I hope to change pace and get more active. I have been feeling very uninspired and low these last few weeks and that really has impacted my mood and my work but I hope to change that and I will be more regular with my posts and I hope to get your support in this journey.
I decided to make this inspiring quote to get me started on this path and decided to use a canvas board that I had previously covered with all the scrap pattern paper I had in my stash as I was just tired of storing it so I had cut them into smaller pieces and stuck them on to the canvas and coated it with matt medium.
This became a starting point so I played with spray inks, some gesso, texture paste and stencils to create a background in a vintage tone.
I then was very confused as what to do regarding the lettering of my quote should i paint it on or should I stencil the alphabets but finally decided to hand-draw the alphabets on pattern papers and cut them out.
Once all alphabets were cut, distressing the edges was the next step. Finally, the quote was stuck down on the background believe me it was a very satisfying experience and therapeutic. I feel so much more excitement towards my next project.
I hope you will all join me on my journey.
Thanks
Hugs& Kisses
Until next time
