Hello Friends,
Diwali is round the corner and while we are all starting deep cleaning routines for our homes and preparing to spend time with our family and loved ones, there are people who are away from their family to guard our country. Soldiers of the armed forces are not only away from families but some of them are away in such remote areas of the country that are difficult to access. Their lives are at risk from the other side of the borders and they are also braving difficult living conditions and extreme weather. Being a soldier's daughter I am well aware of their and their family's emotions so when I learnt that the facebook group "Cards for a cause -India " is planning to send diwali cards to soldiers, I found this a great way to send some cheer their way and also thank them, so here are the diwali cards I made.
I decided to batch make the cards and so I used the craft expressions diwali stencil and added versamark on my cardstcok through the stencil and then heat embossed it with rose gold from ranger.
Once I had this sheet ready, I cut it into small pieces to add on cards and blended different pieces with different colours and used the colours to decided the card bases, next I heat embossed the sentiment and diya from a stamp set from ranganjali and finished my cards.
Hope these cards will bring a smile on someone's face. Supplies are listed below:
