Hello peeps,
Hope you are having a wonderful week!!
Its a new month and its time for a new challenge over at Happy Little Stampers and this months challenge is METAL. Metal is such a popular look these day and so many different products available in the market right from paints, markers, card stock, embellishments and the list goes on.
I do not have many metallics in my stash so i decided that i will create a metallic looking frame.
I had this spoiled frame that was not good to look at but i have a problem throwing things, like is the case with most crafters i guess, so i decided to rework it such that i am able to use it.
Step 1: I decided to do foil embossing. The process was really simple. Disassembled the frame.
Step 2: Made some random spirals and flower shapes with epoxy clay (you may use any clay or even old wooden, resin or plastic pieces).
Step 3: Made the word 'LOVE' with some more rolled clay to add a focal point.
Step 4: Adhere all the shapes in an arrangement as you like and let it dry.
Step 5: I used foil tape (available in hardware stores), A kitchen aluminum foil too its just a little challenging to adhere but works out.
Step 6: Do this process in parts, once a little foil is adhered gently outline the design through the foil by using fingers, do not be rough as it may tear the foil.
Step 7: Once the foil has been etched across the whole frame, take some acrylic paint in black and cover the entire frame.
Step 8: Gently rub off the paint with a cloth.

Step 9: Assemble the frame together. you may also use some alcohol inks to colour the foil and highlight some areas, I wanted this look so i did not do that.
Hope you enjoyed this, looking forwards to all your feedback and comments and excited to see the contributions this months
Have fun crafting
