DIY embossing buddy super easy

I have been doing a video series on my you tube channel that talks about making craft supplies at home. Now not everything cannot be made at home but there are certain things that you can definitely find solutions for around the house and it will cost you next to nothing. I love to find such things to do as then i can slurge on things that i really need. This week we are doing the DIY Embossing buddy!!
Most paper crafters and especially card makers do a lot of heat embossing and thus want their heat embossing to be as crisp as possible with least amount of stress and fuss. To this purpose the embossing buddy or the powder tool comes super handy as it removes any static and prepared the surface to be embossed such that the embossing powder shall stick only to areas where there is stamped image and not all over the surface.

This month the theme for the ATC challenge over at Happy Little Stampers is ‘Animals’. This gave me the opportunity to finally open up a stamp set that has been in my stash for sometime unopened so here is what i came up with, hope you like it.

This is my first post for the HLS -Anything Goes with Dies team and I wanted to make a really simple card so this is what i came up with, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Kylie for her faith in me. Hope you all will love it just as much as I did.

Key Holder- LOVE

This time I have a very interesting project to share with you as it was basically inspired by a friend and I had the opportunity to meet her recently and i have come really love her work.
This month over at the Happy Little  stampers we are talking about textures and this will be my take on the same, hope you will like what you see.

To start I had a piece of MDF from one of my old projects and since I do like the look of wood Rupas project felt perfect. So I used some gesso with a pallette knife to create a woodgrain like texture.

Next i added some chalk paints to create the wood effect. for the look of the planks i added some lines with a mix of dark brown and black lines.

 Then I used a decoupage paper to decoupage some flowers and used some script stamps to create a blended look.

Next I used some chipboard alphas that i heat embossed with layers of golden embossing powder to create a metal like look for the alphas and then stuck them to the board.

Finally i used some old keys, bent them and painted them with a similar gold colour as the word and stuck them on to the board creating my own key holder to grace my home.
