DIY Texture paste and Gesso

Hello Friends,

Today we are discussing about a very basic supply if you are into any kind of mixed media, art journaling, alter art or painting and I am pretty sure that most of us are familiar with the term GESSO. For those of you who are not yet very familiar with this - meaning -is a white paint mixture consisting of a binder mixed with chalk, gypsum, pigment, or any combination of these.^[1] It is used in artwork as a preparation for any number of substrates such as wood panels, canvas and sculpture as a base for paint and other materials that are applied over it.

We at Happy Little stampers start a new challenge this month and I have been given this awesome opportunity by Kylie to be a part of this team. The theme for this month is 'Flowers'. I decided to do a simple shaker ATC with a flower as the shaker. Hope you like it!!

A glitter wall decor piece!!!

Hello Friends,

This month the theme at the HLS Mixed Media challenge is 'Glitter'. I personally find it very difficult to work with glitter as it gets everywhere and calls for a very tedious clean up .....(hope I am not  the only one who feels that way!!!)  

However I decided to make this large painting with glitter on it and i hope you will like it too....
